History Spot - Meet a Club Founder

Here we have Bernard Douglas Cancellor who was one of the founder members. He attended the meeting in 1891 which agreed to form the Club in the Market Hotel (now the Theatre Royal in Jewry Street) in March 1891.

He was elected Hon. Secretary and Hon. Treasurer at the 1st AGM and went onto become Mayor of Winchester in 1901-02
