Executive Committee

The Committee is elected by the membership at each annual general meeting (AGM) to manage and represent the Club. All roles are served by members of the club in a totally voluntary basis.

Depending on the squad and age group, training takes place at different venues and at varying times. Please see the information on the relevant team page of this website.

Club welfare & safeguarding: The Club’s trained Welfare Officer, (CWO), Louise Leyland can be contacted through the special email address below, and will respond to communication as quickly as possible, and confidentially. More information can be found on the public documents page.

Membership: If you need other information that is not available on this website, please make contact with the respective Senior or Junior Membership Secretary's.

The Committee shall consist of between 8 and 10 permanent members plus the President. They (the Club Committee) have the power to co-opt further members for specific meeting items as and when required. Individuals should hold only one position on the Club Committee.

Winchester Hockey Club is fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the well being of all its members. The club believes that it is important that the Team Leaders and Coaches of the Club should wholly support the policies and objectives of the Club, and to show respect and understanding for the safety and welfare of Club members at all times.

NOTE: Executive Members are empowered to run the Club without referring decisions up to the Committee unless they are committing monies, proposing a change to published policies / rules, or doing something that may affect another Executive member.

Volunteer opportunities: There are lots of roles to play within the team from coaching and assistant coaches to team management and administrative roles.
